What is a friend.

I think the most inspiring people are the ones who are considerate of other people's judgements, behaviour and values even though they differ from yours. They are mindful of experiences; they guide, not educate. Their eloquence is represented by simplicity. They are reflexive but firm in their decisions. They offer you choices, not solutions. They find comfort in kindness, not material. Their happiness is not altruistic, not from your success but from your efforts and trials. Their character is expressed in few words. They look for paths, not clarity. They don't seek for self identifying means because they've already found themselves, but most of all, they find beauty in refinement, not appearance.

Wrist Hand Orthosis

Yesterday I made a wrist-hand orthosis (resting splint) on my mum.

Home made, not too shabby eh?

Two Weeks Dog-Sitting

This morning we welcomed Coco. Coco is approx 52 years in human years (same age as my mum). Upon arrival, she was sitting in the garden, I went into the garden for a meet and greet. She greeted me generously, Coco then started a short course of gallops as I decided to follow her lead and galloped as humanly as possible. Subsequently, she stopped in the middle of our petite yard, shaken, her tail was tucked between her hind legs as she shivered and backed away from me.

I was left alone with Coco from noon onwards. I decided to use this time wisely as I attempted to reconnect the initial bond and bribed my way to a second chance. I tried to allure her with Frank Sinatra and various soft and rubbery toys. Still unimpressed. So I did what I do best and gave her the cold shoulder (despite her lack of warmth, she was a very compliant dog). An hour later, she'd come up to me for some minor attention then waddled back to her dog bed and slept for most of the afternoon. I guess unlike young puppies, 52yr old malteses are not attention deprived.

Merlin - Season 5

Most of us are members of the "Guilty-shit-tv-movie" club. yours might be Gossip Girls, Jersey Shore, Twilight, Grey's Anatomy, Antelope porn, Justin Bieber: Never say Never, The Bill.... or any other terrible, awful, people vomit movies or TV shows.

Fortunately, I enjoy quality TV like Merlin, fantasy medieval fan and proud.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the funding bodies and increased budget in Merlin's most recent season.

I still loved the previous eps, even though they were as corny as a pedo's pickup-lines and one of the most anticipated end of series battle was signified by a baby tornado. I had to be mindful that Merlin was still a "young" wizard in those eps.

Before I go onto the pictures. I recently went to the Mad Spuds Cafe --- unfortunately my camera was no where to be present, I had the spuds stack and enjoyed it. Will be making a return trip to try their range of fruitful spuds!

Came across this picture on a RADIO page.

Merlin (Colin Morgan) in NORMAL PEOPLE CLOTHES :O *mind blown*

Sunday, October 7, 2012

I was squatting on my bedroom floor sorting through a mountain of paperwork that's been lying there for quite some time. I stumbled across my bachelors degree. By the end of next year, I'll receive two of these "Bone' colouring papers that (will eventually) throw me in a year's worth of debt. Still refuse to hang it on the wall, this degree felt like a bit of an impasse; ambiguous like canned food, futile like an arts degree.

OP Body Hydrator

Ulta3 Nail Polish 13ml (full size) @ $2

Total value - $63.30

So far, I've only tried the Ulta3 nail polish... my polish range is fairly limited to 1xred and 1xdeep purple. So I was quite happy to receive a different colour. It takes a while to dry up but it's quite pigmented, didn't need two coats. Oh and I tried the pen... perfect smooth ball point pen, mum had dibs on it.

Overall, I was pretty happy with the gift and am excited to try all the products!
