Turn A Bad Day Around

Had a relatively depressing week, especially when it concerns simultaneous self defeating situations.

Despite the whirlpool of predicaments, each day we drag our slumbering bodies out of bed and put on our face, strong enough to stand upon the hurricanes of disappointment.

Chin up, Kid.

Military Boots By No! Shoes

I love shoes... most shoes. But there's something sexy about military boots. Maybe it's the 9-eye? The lace up? The leather?
Substituting my heels for military boots.

I love the nightlife.

Tea from T2

My most prized possession of a friend took me to T2 to get my early birthday present. I told her I want tea. She told me I reminded her of her father. Lovely.

I picked out 4 boxes of tea and she pulled out her nifty wallet. Because that's how we roll.

Now onto the tea.

L to R

1. Mint Mix: Peppermint leaves, spearmint leaves and lemon verbena leaves. (heard this is good for detox)

2. Sleep Tight: Lemonbalm, jasmine blossoms, lavender and rose petals. (because I'd like to sleep more!)

3. Irish Breakfast

4. Lemongrass and Ginger

Bad Day

Funny how a bad day is like a trail of slanting dominoes.

The best I can do is come home and listen to angry/pick me up music... such as "Teenagers" "Bad day" "Pork and Beans' and "Fuck You" by Cee Lo Green. And hope tomorrow will be a better day.

I like the free days with no expectations. I like it my way with no limitation.

Movie Review: A Serbian Film

The sickest, filthiest movie that explores every aspect of sexual taboo (rape, incest, sodomy, necrophilia, child pornography, masochism and much more)  in the most explicit way I've ever seen in any transgression films.

This is torture porn at it's best. This is extravagant metaphor that shoots off the pendulum. The conventional ratings would blast off the left hand polarization because it's oh so wrong.

Sex is a powerful symbol. In order to make a movie based on sex and torture, yet at the same time maintain some underlying/subliminal messages, is even more powerful.

I was warned by a friend about this movie, after a short debrief I was curious. I'm the sort of person who watch SAW while having dinner, watch an open heart surgery while spooning ice cream into my mouth. I dissect rats like ABC and spending my day off at galleries to see the human anatomy, sliced, diced and up close.

This movie was pretty out there. From rape, to raping a corpse to raping his own fresh and blood. It's graphic. It's meaningful. It's significant. I guess you can call it ..."art".

The film explores victimization on a whole new level. The fragility, the vulnerability and the exploitations. Yet at the same time, when power is excess and utilised in the most unconventional and destructive ways eventually, you'll become the victim. The power demonstrated in this movie is phenomenal. It's almost like Milgram's study but 10382190481204 times more unethical. It explores the power of authority, the power they pursue and grasp over ordinary people... if you retaliate... they will use force.

The film elaborated the extremity of the most tabooed events, string them together, roll them up in a ball and fit them into a 40mins interval. (The first hour or so was "storytelling"). It's because they pushed further than far, the film was able to comprise and coordinate a balanced "WOW" factor. To others, "WTF is this shit".

Here's the Trailer (just press play):

Lancome Hypnose Mascara

One of my favourite mascara is the Lancome Hypnose mascara, I received a little sample a while ago, it did amazing things to my lashes; so i went and purchased the full size. It's a water based mascara, at first i was scared that it'll droop on asian eye lashes like other reviews i've read.... instead it made my lashes look pretty darn good.

A quality of this mascara that I love to hate is the easiness of removing it. It washes right off with water.... however at the same time it's fairly smudgeable if you have watery eyes. It's also a bit of a nightmare during rainy days, hence avoid this for likely chances of rain.

Otherwise it seem to keep my curl, not as much as the shiseido perfect mascara.

These two pics were taking on different days, i "accidentally" scratched my eye with dirty fingers so the inner started swelling up a bit *see below* remember always to wash your hands before touching your eyes kids!
RRP $54 AUD
